The Nursing Home Administrator is responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day operations of the facility. This role ensures regulatory compliance, financial performance, high-quality resident care, and a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate is a confident leader with strong financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to exceptional resident outcomes.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) in the State
- Strong knowledge of administrative management, human relations, and healthcare operations
- Solid computer and technology skills
- Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight stays
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and regulatory agencies
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and reference verification
- Completion of an Administrator-in-Training (AIT) program or prior experience as an Administrator or Assistant Administrator
- Minimum of one year of relevant leadership experience
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or a related field (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Oversee all facility operations, including admissions, marketing, financial management, and strategic planning
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations
- Lead and mentor department heads and staff to promote teamwork and accountability
- Maintain high standards of resident care, quality assurance, and customer satisfaction
- Manage budgets, control costs, and maximize revenue while maintaining quality outcomes
- Maintain the physical plant and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff
- Serve as a positive representative to residents, families, surveyors, and community partners
