About The Position

The Frances M. Maguire College of Nursing and Health Professions at Gwynedd Mercy University invites applications for a full-time undergraduate nursing faculty position. This 9-month appointment may be either tenure or non-tenure track. Rank and salary will be commensurate with education and teaching experience. We seek a dynamic and student-focused educator who is passionate about preparing the next generation of nurses through innovative teaching, experiential learning, and simulation-based instruction. Expertise in community health, medical-surgical nursing, pharmacology, and simulation-based learning is highly desirable. Priority will be given to candidates with a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) credential.

Requirements

• A Doctoral degree in Nursing, or Doctoral degree in a related field with a minimum of a Master's degree in Nursing, is preferred.
• A current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is required.
• Experience in higher education is preferred.
• A record of clinical and/or teaching experience in community health, medical surgical nursing, and pharmacology is preferred.
• A strong background in simulation-based learning is preferred; CHSE certification is highly desirable.
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate classes in in-person, hybrid, and/or online formats.
• Provide student support both inside and outside the classroom.
• Participate in academic advising.
• Collaborate with the Simulation Coordinator to integrate, deliver, and evaluate simulation-based learning activities.
• Engage in departmental, university, and professional service.
• Participate actively in student recruitment and admissions events.
