About The Position

Black River Health has an immediate opening for a part-time Emergency Room Technician (ERT) / Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) in our Emergency Department. The ERT/HUC provides supportive services and direct and indirect patient care. Organizes and coordinates efficient delivery of care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Performs as part of the nursing team in non-clinical tasks and coordinates activities of the unit. This position is: Per Diem, 24 hours per pay period, PM/NOC shift, includes every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation, benefited
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant or EMT license
- BLS certification is required
Responsibilities
- Provides patient care following nursing/medical orders as delegated by the RN.
- Performs and coordinates clerical activities on the unit to promote patient-focused care.
- Accurately documents and reviews orders in the electronic medical record according to established standards.
