About The Position

The position involves preparing for and delivering quality instruction for assigned courses using various instructional methods such as presentations, group work, lab projects, discussions, simulations, and practical labs. The instructor will evaluate student performance and assist in resolving student issues by providing advisories, tutoring, mentoring, and referrals to services, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Computer skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ongoing student focus.
  • BSN or MSN required.
  • Minimum of 3 years related practical work experience in the subject area(s) taught.
  • Necessary academic credentials and work-related experience mandated by the company and regulatory agencies.
  • Faculty must be certified or licensed where required by law.
  • Faculty must have all immunization documentation and CPR required by clinical facilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 5 years related practical work experience (specific to Rhode Island).

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate a student-centered learning process and organize class objectives clearly.
  • Maintain an orderly, controlled, engaging, and safe environment for students.
  • Secure and utilize approved course materials and teaching methods.
  • Understand and follow compliance-related responsibilities for the position.
  • Communicate, support, and enforce school policies and procedures.
  • Advise students on attendance, grades, and discipline issues.
  • Complete all required forms related to attendance, grade reports, and student advising.
  • Maintain accurate daily attendance and grades records.
  • Provide academic support, tutoring, and skills enhancement to students.
  • Develop learning aids, projects, and assessments relevant to the subject matter.
  • Provide relevant enrichment to class teaching from personal experience.
  • Participate actively with other campus departments to support overall goals.
  • Motivate students by demonstrating professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Involve students in classroom discussions and activities, adjusting for different learning styles.
  • Complete required training materials and stay updated on curricula.
  • Earn and update required credentials related to the position.
  • Contribute to the curriculum review process as necessary.
  • Visit externship/internship/clinical sites and complete required documentation.
  • Participate in campus events and meetings as required.
  • Assist in promoting and maintaining safe learning environments.
  • Aid in class equipment and inventory controls.
