About The Position
The Nursing Education Consultant (NEC) position is a home-office designated role servicing all of California. Under the general supervision of the Supervising Nursing Education Consultant (SNEC), the NEC is involved in various programs and services provided by the Board of Registered Nursing (Board) in its implementation of the Nursing Practice Act. This position may be limited term, extendable up to 24 months, and/or become permanent. It may also be part-time or intermittent, with the possibility of increasing to full-time. Employees are responsible for creating an inclusive, safe, and secure work environment that values diverse cultures, perspectives, and experiences, and is free from discrimination. The position requires traveling throughout California for individual meetings, with travel expenses reimbursed at the current allowable rate.
