About The Position

The Nursing Education and Informatics Specialist is accountable and responsible for facilitating delivery of quality patient care through the use of clinical and financial systems. This role provides consultation and coordination to the educational development and training of staff members and acts as a role model in clinical practice. The Nursing Education and Informatics Specialist strives to improve patient outcomes by integrating evidence-based practice and standards of excellence into clinical practice and information systems. Additionally, this role serves as a liaison for clinicians to facilitate a common understanding of information system needs, end user processes, and alignment with organizational goals and clinical practice and excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Minimum five (5) years of Nursing experience.
• Demonstrated experience in evaluating, designing, and implementing informatics programs.
• Two (2) years' experience in informatics training, nursing education, or staff development preferred.
• RN licensed in the state of Illinois.

Nice To Haves

• Master of Science in Nursing, Information Technology, or equivalent preferred.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Epic certification preferred.
• ANCC Certification for Professional Development or Informatics Nursing preferred.
