The Ambulatory Nursing Director directs the organization, coordination and administration of patient care in the outpatient setting as well as serve as a resource to nurse managers, educators and staff regarding nursing practice. Further career responsibilities include overseeing daily operations in conjunction with nurse managers, ensuring that nursing and clinical practice are in accordance with nursing and organizational philosophy, standards and goals and contributing to strategic goals, staff development, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. A caregiver in this position will primarily work 8:00am to 5:00pm. This position is a hybrid role with some ability for remote work. This remote work must be within the state of Ohio with the ability to travel, if needed, to different ambulatory locations.

Requirements

  • BSN with Master's degree required
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Four years recent clinical practice to include to include at least one year healthcare management experience

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in ambulatory
  • Prior experience in population health management preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with direction, coordination and management of outpatient nursing areas.
  • Provide supervision and acts as a resource to nurse managers, educators and clinical staff.
  • Collaborate with leadership regarding budget review, personnel management, monitoring of productivity, key metrics and staff development.
  • Ensure adherence to nursing standards, best practices, regulatory requirements and Cleveland Clinic/ Nursing Institute policies and procedures.
  • Promote innovation and ongoing professional development.
