About The Position
The Nursing Data Analyst position at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, is a pivotal role focused on the collection, management, interpretation, and dissemination of nursing-related data. This position is integral to ensuring that nursing data is utilized effectively to improve patient care and nursing practices. In this role, the Nursing Data Analyst will develop and implement standardized processes for collecting nursing-related data, ensuring that data integrity, accuracy, and completeness are maintained in nursing databases, including the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI). Collaboration with IT and clinical teams is essential to optimize data entry workflows and system usability, ensuring that nursing staff can efficiently access and utilize data in their daily practices. The analyst will also be responsible for analyzing nursing data to identify trends and insights that inform clinical decision-making and quality improvement initiatives. This includes developing dashboards, reports, and visualizations to present findings to nursing leadership and other stakeholders. The timely dissemination of nursing data to relevant parties, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards for data sharing and confidentiality, is a critical aspect of this role. Furthermore, the Nursing Data Analyst will promote the meaningful use of data in clinical practice, supporting the implementation of evidence-based practices and clinical guidelines.
