About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY Position Summary: Responsible for the direct and indirect care of patients. Plans, organizes, and directs the specialty service under their charge. Effectively communicates pertinent information to provide optimum patient care. Assists the director in assuming responsibility for administrative management of a specific area. Assists in development and monitoring performance improvement issues. Works to assure competent staff are able to meet the needs of the patient population.

Requirements

• Minimum Education Associate or Diploma degree from a registered nursing program
• Current Kansas registered nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification from either American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Health Care Provider or Basic Life Support (American Heart Association-Health Care Provider) successfully completed within the first 90 days of employment.
• Other certifications unit specific.
• Minimum Experience Two years experience in an acute care setting

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
