About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY Position Summary: Provides leadership, direction, and administration in coordinating the delivery of health care services leading to quality outcomes for the hospital population and their families within the limits of the financial and social resources available. The coordinator is an expert on issues related to discharge planning and reimbursement. Accountable for the ongoing operations and direct impact as it relates to length of stay, throughput, and inappropriate days. Provides hospital-wide leadership through effective resource management and timely movement of patients through a continuum. Collaborates with administration, medical staff, quality, ancillary services and nursing in a communications and change management capacity. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma Degree from an accredited registered nurse program BSN preferred Minimum Experience Two years acute care experience Two years management experience in a health care facility preferred Required Registration/License/Certification Current Kansas Registered Nurse license
