About The Position

The Nursing Clinical Instructor position at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing is designed for MSN prepared individuals to facilitate clinical experiences for nursing students. Requirements

  • Master's in nursing.
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a registered nurse in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the course and clinical objectives of the assigned course and be familiar with the overall curriculum of the College of Nursing.
  • Facilitate clinical experiences for each student in the clinical group consistent with course and clinical objectives.
  • Provide supervision of students in providing safe, quality patient care.
  • Assist students in accomplishing the clinical objectives of the course.
  • Help students learn clinical decision-making and judgment skills, develop competency in clinical skills, and foster good communication with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Validate students' understanding of theoretical, scientific, and evidence-based practice to support safe and effective care.
  • Evaluate students' clinical practice and provide feedback on their accomplishment of clinical objectives.
  • Guide students in their growth in the nursing profession.
