In this role, you will work closely with nursing students in accelerated and traditional undergraduate programs and will be assigned to teach experiential learning (clinical) across a variety of healthcare settings , and may provide hands-on instruction and guidance in classrooms and simulated care environments . Depending on expertise , qualifications, and program needs, it is also possible to be assigned to teach in graduate programs such as Doctor of Nursing Practice or PhD. This is a n A -basis ( 12 -month) position. This position requires most work to be performed in-person, onsite, or at a designated campus or clinical work location . Employment in this position is contingent upon the successful candidates’ ability to provide satisfactory documentation for various medical clearances and certifications, as required by the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Nursing and/or its affiliated clinical partners. Examples of required medical clearances and certifications include, but are not limited to: RN license, negative TB status, COVID vaccination, MMR, varicella, hepatitis B, and others. This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.
