About The Position

Nursing Attendant - Post Partum- Full Time- Night At NewYork-Presbyterian, nursing attendants thrive at the bedside as invaluable care providers. Provide comfort and caring as an NYP nursing attendant-keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly. Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care. This is a full time night shift position, 11:00 pm- 7:15 am , 5 shifts per week, every other weekend, located at NewYork-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association is required
  • Must meet one of the following:
  • Previous Nurse’s Aide experience in a hospital setting
  • Certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aid training program
  • Current enrollment in a BSN program - at the junior year level and/or completion of at least one clinical practicum
