Nursing Attendant - 12am to 8:30am - Emergency Room - Columbia University Irving Medical Center Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care. This is a full time position. The hours are from 12am to 8:30am, rotating weekends and holidays. This position is located at New York Presbyterian/Columbia location.
Requirements
- Qualified candidates are currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) program and have completed at least one clinical rotation or will have previous certified nurses aide or nursing attendant experience, or certification through an approved, accredited certified nurses aide training program.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- BCLS from American Heart Association required.
- Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses
