Nursing Attendant - Pediatric Emergency Room - Full Time-Nights At NewYork-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital, nursing attendants thrive at the bedside as invaluable care providers. Together, we serve as critical points of contact for patients and their families. Be a true partner with Nurses, ICU Technicians and the care team. Perform various patient care duties and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the needs and comfort of patients. So bring your smile to work. Infuse energy and hospitality into a patient's day. Provide comfort and caring as an NYP nursing attendant, keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly. Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration, and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care. This is a full-time night shift position, 11:00 pm- 7:15 am, 5 shifts per week, every other weekend, located at NewYork-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) program and have completed at least one clinical rotation or will have previous certified nurses aide or nursing attendant experience, or certification through an approved, accredited certified nurses aide training program.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Current BLS from American Heart Association required.
