About The Position

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) program and have completed at least one clinical rotation OR previous certified nurses aide or nursing attendant experience, plus certification through an approved, accredited certified nurses aide training program
  • A high school diploma or GED is required
  • Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association required

Responsibilities

  • Monitor blood pressure and temperature of patients
  • Ensure the delivery of meals and safe transport
  • Infuse energy and hospitality into a patient's day
  • Provide comfort and caring as an NYP nursing attendant-keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly
  • Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse
  • Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment
  • Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure
