About The Position

Nursing Attendant - 5N - Med Surg/Telemetry/Vent - Full Time -Days, Weekends and Holidays. At NewYork-Presbyterian, certified nurse's aides thrive at the bedside as invaluable care providers. Provide compassionate patient focus care and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Measure, monitor and record temperatures, pulses, respirations and blood pressures. Ensure the delivery of meals and safe transport. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care. This is a Full Time Day (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM) position at NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens location. Every weekend required for the first 2 years of employment.

Requirements

• Previous Nurse's aide experience or equivalent in a hospital setting.
• Certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aid training program.
• Currently enrolled in a BSN program for nursing at the junior year level or completed at least one clinical practicum.
• BLS certification from AHA.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to complete mandatory 2 week orientation Monday - Friday from 8AM - 4PM upon hire.
