About The Position

Doctors Hospital of Laredo, in Laredo, TX, is a 183-bed acute care facility that offers a range of medical services. You'll feel a difference when you walk in our doors. The certified nursing assistant provides safe, competent patient-centered care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. This role involves providing care under the direction of the registered nurse or physician and participating as an active member of the Nursing Team on the assigned unit/department. The position supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
  • Completion of healthcare vocational program preferred.
  • Successful completion of fundamentals semester of nursing school preferred.
  • De-escalation training (obtained CPI within six months of employment) in required specialty.
  • BLS (or obtained during orientation).
  • Prefer experience in acute care setting.
