About The Position

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - MST 1 is a Full-Time, Night Shift position located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA. The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time, the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992, and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. The merged hospitals are now a 238-bed community hospital network comprised of a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus. It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1,250 trained healthcare workers, and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing more than 40 specialties. Reporting to the Director, the mental health worker/certified nurse assistant will assist in the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health of patients assigned to his/her care.

Requirements

• Must have current, valid Certified Nurses Assistant certification, or be currently enrolled in an accredited Registered Nursing program with completion of the 1st clinical curriculum semester
• Current BLS (CPR) Certificate required through the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Promote wellness and health education
• Document patient activities clearly
• Responsible for adult and geriatric patients' personal hygiene
• Monitor and record vital signs
• Apply ice bags and K-Pads as needed
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and the use of incentive spirometers
• Provide emotional support to patients
• Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients
