Select Specialty Hospital - Memphis East is a critical illness recovery hospital located in Memphis, TN, inside Baptist East Hospital. The hospital specializes in providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. This specific position is for a Nursing Assistant on a PRN/Per Diem/As Needed schedule, involving 12-hour night shifts from 7:00pm-7:00am, with compensation at $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned
