About The Position

This role involves providing daily nursing and personal care to retired Adrian Dominican Sisters at the Dominican Life Center, which serves as a nursing/retirement home environment with assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing communities. The position is open to individuals with experience as a Caregiver, Nursing Assistant, Nurse Aide, or Home Health Aide, with no certification required. The team provides an enriching and compassionate environment, focusing on geriatric and long-term care. The workplace offers a safe, home-like atmosphere with supportive management and opportunities for professional development and internal growth. The campus features historic buildings, gardens, walking paths, an exercise space, and break rooms. The organization prides itself on a great resident-to-nurse ratio and a family-like working relationship with the Sisters.

Requirements

• Experience in home care, geriatric care, long-term care or nursing facility
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks typically performed in CNA work
• Must undergo background check and drug screen
• Mandatory yearly (employer paid) flu vaccine and TB test

Responsibilities

• Provide our retired Sisters with daily nursing and personal care typical of a Nursing Assistant, Nurse Aide, Resident Aide, Home Health Aide, or CNA
• Be trained and work alongside a team of Nursing Assistants, LPN's and RN's who all have a love for geriatric and long-term care
