About The Position
About the Unit Trenton OB/Gyn unit includes 6 LDRs, 11 postpartum rooms, 5 Triage beds, 2 NST bays and 2 ORs. About Trenton Hospital This Magnet®-designated facility provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for its patients and is one of four recipients of the Truven Health Advantage Award in the category of Health and Clinical Outcomes. It is home to nine university affiliated residency programs. Here, you will find a Level II trauma center that is a nationally recognized heart, vascular and pulmonary specialties along with other specialties like orthopedics, neurosurgery, and women’s health. Scope of work Provides care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatch services and appropriate documentation of services. Provides the services of an Observer for any patient on a patient care unit who has been assessed to require constant observation, either in person or via remote video monitoring, to maximize his/her safety. Documentation of care provided in the electronic medical record.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire
Nice To Haves
- Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred
- Current CNA certification preferred
