About The Position

Join our team of Certified Nursing Assistants and Nurses! Hallway Healthcare provides in-home nursing care to retired Nuclear and Federal Workers that have received benefits through EEOICPA or FECA. These are the workers who have retired from Department of Energy facilities such Lawrence Livermore National Lab, Sandia National Lab Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, Stanford Linear, etc. We also serve Federal Workers such as US Postal Workers. Certified Nursing Assistants are responsible for light cleaning, cooking, and doing laundry, as well as assisting clients with bathing, showering, grooming, and other personal hygiene tasks. Additionally, personal care aides might consult with a client's family members and nursing staff to address their concerns regarding the client's health, nutrition, and overall well-being. Able to take vital signs and report to supervisor. Experience: 6 months of experience. Computer literate, with EMR experience. LOCATION 1: Las Vegas, Nevada. Cross streets: S. Hualapai Way and W. The role involves managing challenging interactions with staff, public officials and private representatives while interpreting and implementing departmental policies and procedures. Employee will have to travel to a variety of patient homes and perform in conditions that vary greatly depending upon the client’s home environment. Some homes will be clean, neat, and maintained at a comfortable temperature. Other homes may be cluttered, dirty, with an uncomfortable temperature. Requirements

  • Strong patient care skills and ability to provide compassionate care

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
  • Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
  • Assist with patient assessments and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff
  • Assist with patient mobility and transfers
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
