About The Position

Become a Certified Nursing Assistant with Essentia Health – No-Cost Training Opportunity! The Essentia Health Virginia Care Center team is excited to partner with Advanced Minnesota to offer free Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training for individuals interested in beginning a rewarding career in healthcare. This program covers the full cost of education and the certification exam required to become a CNA. Participants will also earn income while training by providing indirect care to patients. Program Highlights · No cost for tuition or certification exam · Earn income during training · Hands-on experience in a supportive healthcare environment As a CNA Trainee, You Will: · Assist licensed professionals and direct care staff with personal care tasks based on individualized care plans to ensure residents’ comfort. · Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents. · Assist with meal setup, water pass, and other basic personal care needs. · Provide activities and exercise opportunities as assigned. · Support residents with psychosocial needs and emotional well-being. · Observe and promptly report any changes in residents’ conditions to supervisors. · Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner. · Assist with entrance screening and other duties as assigned. Rate of Pay: $15.00/hour during training CNA wage upon certification, based on Essentia Health Virginia Care Center’s CNA pay scale - $19.22/hour base This position is part of a self-directed, cross trained team. Each team member is trained in direct resident care, housekeeping, laundry, dietary, and activity functions following facility policies, procedures, and programs. A holistic approach will be taken to coordinate resident/patient centered care in a home like environment.

Requirements

  • Must pass the educational component and receive their certificate of completion within 4 months from date of hire as a student
