About The Position

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant training program.
  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent as required by state regulations.
  • Basic proficiency in computer use for documentation purposes.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with patient care and mobility assistance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in assisted living or primary care settings.
  • Additional certifications in wound care or infection control.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated compassion and patience in patient care.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
  • Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure accurately and timely.
  • Provide wound care under the supervision of nursing staff, ensuring proper cleaning and dressing changes.
  • Implement infection control measures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases within the care environment.
  • Maintain clear and accurate patient records and report any changes in patient condition to the nursing team.
  • Support patients in assisted living settings by promoting independence and providing compassionate care.
  • Utilize basic computer skills to document patient information and communicate with healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance to ensure consistent patient care and team collaboration.
