Monitor blood pressure and temperature of patients, while ensuring the delivery of meals and safe transport. So bring your smile to work. Infuse energy and hospitality into a patient's day. Provide comfort and caring as a certified nurse’s aide at NYP-keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly. Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care Float to all units-in the hospital such as - Med-Surg- Critical Care-Psychiatry- Emergency Department or where needed. This a part-time (3 shifts biweekly) day position (7:30AM-4PM) New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, weekends and holidays required. Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Certification from an approved, accredited Nurse Assistant training program or current Enrollment in a BSN program & completion of at least 1 clinical rotation
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer skill
Nice To Haves
- Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of experience as a nurse’s aide in a hospital
