About The Position

This position assists in the safe care of patients on the 6 Main unit as directed. The role also involves maintaining safe and efficient unit operations and utilizing excellent customer service skills. The Nursing Assistant is permitted to change patients from portable O2 to wall O2.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Healthcare Provider CPR
• Comprehensive Crisis Management per policy

Nice To Haves

• Current enrollment or completion of a nursing assistant training program
• Previous experience working as a nursing assistant in an acute care facility

Responsibilities

• Assists in the safe care of the patient on the 6 Main unit as directed
• Assists in maintaining safe and efficient unit operations
• Utilizes excellent customer service skills
• Permitted to change patient from portable O2 to wall O2
• Responsible to safely access, transport, and handle single dose medications to include prescription and non-prescription medications
• Responsible to safely access, transport, and handle sharps, such as needles, suture kits, lancets, syringes, etc.
