This is a Full Time (36 hours per week), Day/Night Rotating Shift position with Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday Requirements Title and starting pay rate of this position may vary based on years of experience. Nursing Assistant The Nursing Assistant (NA) provides a variety of patient care duties and support services directed by the RN like Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, feeding, transporting, toileting, ambulating, turning and repositioning patients. In addition, the Nursing Assistant is responsible for completing medical record documentation in accordance with established procedures and ensuring equipment malfunctions are reported to the appropriate departments. This role contributes to the universal unit activities such as responding to call lights, telephones, passing meal trays, and adhering to all safety policies/procedures relative to patient care and hospital related information. Establishing professional relationships and utilizing effective communication with patients, their families, colleagues, and other departments is vital for this role. The Nursing Assistant also provides feedback to the RN regarding patient care, reports changes in patient status, and provides instruction to patients and their families under the direction of the RN.
