About The Position

The Nursing Assistant at CHA Everett Hospital plays a crucial role in providing basic nursing care to patients under the supervision of professional nurses. This position is essential in a 35-bed Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Department, where skilled nursing staff care for patients with various medical and surgical needs. The Nursing Assistant is responsible for recording patient care accurately and ensuring compliance with current OSHA standards, contributing to a compassionate and effective healthcare environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• One year of previous experience as a nursing assistant, or currently enrolled in a nursing program with two completed clinical rotations, or completion of an approved certified nursing assistant training program, or equivalent experience as determined by the CNO or designee.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care to assigned patients under the supervision of a professional nurse.
• Record patient care accurately on the Patient Care Flow Sheet.
• Communicate appropriate information to patients, visitors, and personnel from other departments.
• Understand and demonstrate current OSHA standards.
• Practice telephone courtesy.
