Glencoe Regional Health (GRH) offers a free Nursing Assistant training program that works with your busy lifestyle. This program is a combination of online and in-person/hands on learning. The online portion offers flexibility so you can complete the course content when it works for you! The hands-on skills and supervised practical learning are completed right on our campus. This training provides graduates with the education and skills they need to pass the state exam and start a rewarding career as a Registered Nursing Assistant (NAR) with GRH. If you like to learn in an interactive, engaging, and fun environment - this program is for you! The work we do here matters, and as a member of our team, you will make an impact. Selected applicants will interview with Human Resources and the Nursing Assistant Supervisor. If chosen for the program, the student must commit to become an employee of Glencoe Regional Health upon completion of the program. Once employed, and upon successful completion of the 90-day orientation period requirements, each student is then eligible for a $1500 stipend. This stipend represents time spent completing online learning modules, hands-on skills learning, and practical training. There is no cost to the student to participate in the program, which can be up to a $1,000+ value! Training includes: 33 hours of interactive online modules the student can complete when and where it is convenient 28 hours of hands-on skills learning takes place in a specialized training area on our Glencoe Regional Health campus 16 hours of supervised practical training in GlenFields Living with Care, with our RN Education Specialist Once a student has completed the program, they will participate in the State licensing exam. After both are successfully complete, the student will become a Minnesota Registered Nursing Assistant and ready to make a difference as part of our team! We offer small class sizes to facilitate each student's learning needs, and to promote success every step of the way. Our small class sizes also allow students to learn and work together! The friends you make in the program may also be team members you work alongside when you complete training and the State licensing exam. We're looking for individuals 16 years of age and older who are caring, compassionate, and want to make a difference in the lives of the seniors we serve.
