Requirements

• High school diploma/equivalent.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.
• 6 months patient care experience in a hospital, nursing home, or skilled nursing environment.

Nice To Haves

• STNA/CNA certification.
• Nursing students may be considered as nurse assistants if approved by the State Practice Act.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside highly skilled clinicians and critical care nurses.
• Perform routine tasks in patient care, bedside nursing, and documentation of care provided.
• Provide services for the patient involving bathing, oral hygiene, and oral feeding.
• Answer patient lights and perform services in a timely manner.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary.
• Assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of various instruments and equipment.
• Keep the patient's rooms in clean and orderly condition.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
