About The Position

The Nursing Assistant Residential Program Coordinator (NA-RPC) is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating individual care and programming. Responsible for any program or personnel issues within the home. Responsible to provide direct services to the individuals, including assisting with personal cares, assisting with health care, assisting in maintaining a clean, safe living environment, meal preparation, and supervising, training, and assisting the individuals in every aspect of their lives.

Requirements

  • Must have completed an approved nursing assistant training and testing program within 10 years of hire date.
  • Must provide a certification or transcripts of curriculum taken.
  • Certification does not have to be current but may not be revoked.
  • A minimum of one-year education or training in working with individuals with disabilities and/or equivalent experience as determined by the director.
  • Prior experience in residential services preferred.
  • Must have good decision making, communication, and time management skills.
  • Must be responsible, reliable, and able to carry out job functions without direct supervision.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record as determined by Dungarvin policy.
  • Current auto liability insurance.
  • Computer skills for documentation.
  • Ability to perform personal cares.
  • Must meet qualifications of an unlimited driver.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional qualifications in lieu of a nursing assistant certificate such as RN or LPN education program completion.
  • Evidence of being a current student in a medical program.
  • Successful completion of a medical degree or health program from outside of the United States.

Responsibilities

  • 4:1 staffing ratio
  • Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
  • Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
  • Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, personal hygiene and more.
  • Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
  • Build relationships with persons served and teammates.
  • Attend special community occasions and fun activities like outdoor walks, games, and social events.
  • Transport persons served to appointments or other activities outside the home.
  • Empower people with disabilities to live life to the fullest.
  • Document progress, milestones, and action steps.
