About The Position

OhioHealth Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture with Select Medical, is seeking a Nursing Assistant in Columbus. This position is PRN/Per Diem with day shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts. The compensation is $19.00 per hour, with competitive shift differentials for nights and weekends. Our Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care to address the medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges faced by individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight and demographic data
• Assist patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing, oral hygiene, shaving and hair care
• Deliver meals and snacks, feed patients who are unable to feed themselves and document oral intake
• Turn and position immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participate in mobility program
• Transport patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers
