About The Position

The Nursing Assistant in the Pre-Op Surgery Department at Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital plays a crucial role in providing basic nursing care and assisting patients with daily activities. Requirements

• Current BCLS certification from AHA or ARC (required).
• Successful completion of a certified nursing assistant program (preferred).
• Six (6) months to one year of related work experience (preferred).
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English (required).
• Basic computer knowledge (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living such as feeding, toileting, and hygiene.
• Provides basic nursing care to non-acutely and acutely ill patients.
• Assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment.
• Works under the directions and supervision of the registered nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
• Answers phones and call lights.
• Ensures unit is stocked with supplies.
• Assists patient transporter as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Benefits

• Per diem pay ranging from $19.50 to $28.55 per hour.
