Corewell Health is offering up to $1,500 as a sign on bonus for this opportunity! About the unit This is a 20-bed combined pediatric and surgical gynecological nursing unit. This unit has designated hallways for their specific patient populations. The staff is comprised of an interdisciplinary team consisting of: Pediatricians, Medical Residents, Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, Obstetricians, Registered Nurses, Social Workers, Nurse Assistants, and Unit Secretaries. Scope of work Assists licensed nursing staff in providing direct patient care and helps in the environmental maintenance of the nursing unit under the direction of the Registered Nurse and within the scope of defined practice. Provides for personal care and safety needs of patients promptly under the supervision of licensed nursing staff including specific procedures and patient testing addressed in the patient plan of care. Maintains an orderly unit environment with sufficient supplies and equipment in order to facilitate staff performance of patient care. Facilitates the admission, discharge, and transfer of patients on and off unit in accordance with established policies and procedures. Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
Nice To Haves
- Previous hospital or nursing home experience Preferred
- Current CNA certification Preferred
Responsibilities
