About The Position
West Anaheim Medical Center, a 219-bed acute-care hospital and member of Prime Healthcare, offers opportunities for dedicated professionals. The hospital provides high-quality, compassionate healthcare, including general medical and surgical inpatient care, emergency services, surgical services, behavioral health, a comprehensive heart center, and diagnostic imaging. The Nursing Assistant is an unlicensed non-certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients, and helps maintain a safe environment under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in RN school and successful completion of first semester required
- Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current
- Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology
Nice To Haves
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred
- Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred
Responsibilities
- Assists with activities of daily living
- Provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients
- Assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in the charge of the team and/or unit
