About The Position
Lake Huron Medical Center is a 139-bed community hospital providing a wide range of inpatient and outpatient health care services to residents of St. Clair and Sanilac counties. Services include emergency, primary stroke center, cancer care, surgical services, physical therapy and rehabilitation, pulmonary rehabilitation, and specialized diabetes programs. The Nurse Assistant in the Med Surg/Telemetry Department is an unlicensed non-certified assistive person who works under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Requirements
- Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current
- Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology
Nice To Haves
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire
- Minimum six months’ previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office
Responsibilities
- Assists with activities of daily living
- Provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients
- Assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit
