Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required from an accredited institution
• Current Michigan Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) desirable, however, will consider experience and willingness to be become certified within 4 months of hire, may be eligible for tuition assistance from the hospital
• BLS, ACLS, & TEAMS certifications (available through Hillsdale Hospital)

Nice To Haves

• Specialized training and experience as a monitor tech is preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry, recognize, read, & report cardiac rhythms
• Must have knowledge of patient’s condition and plan of care and assist under direction of an RN
• Maintain accurate records within the chart - graphics, I&Os, etc.
• Collect patient specimens per protocol
• Along with patient care duties, will perform clerical duties related to admissions, discharges, transfers, etc.
• Input computer data appropriately.
• Answer the telephone in a friendly manner, take messages, and direct calls
