About The Position

This role involves being a supportive partner with Registered Nurses on an inpatient Medical Surgical unit, providing care to both medical and surgical patients. The Nursing Assistant will deliver direct physical care and basic nursing procedures and treatments in accordance with hospital policies. The position also involves interacting and engaging with visitors, patients, and their family members to establish trusting relationships and provide high-quality care within a state-of-the-art facility.

Requirements

• Graduate of State of Wisconsin approved Nurse Aid Training Program Required
• Listed on the State of Wisconsin Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aid Registry Upon Hire Required
• BLS/CPR certification within 3 months Required

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of recent experience as a Nursing Assistant Preferred

Responsibilities

• Be a supportive partner with Registered Nurses on an inpatient Medical Surgical unit and provide care to both medical and surgical patients.
• Provide direct physical care and basic nursing procedures and treatments in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Assist with activities of daily living, repositioning, transfers, patient mobility, and intentional rounding.
• Perform 12 lead ECGs.
• Interact and engage with visitors, patients, and their family members to establish a trusting relationship to provide high quality care.
