About The Position

We are seeking a Full Time Nursing Assistant to join our team. The position requires working from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with a rotation that includes every third weekend and holiday. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and teamwork skills, and must be willing and able to complete a basic telemetry course provided by the JTDMH Education Department to function in the monitor watcher role. The Nursing Assistant will perform a variety of basic patient care activities to ensure the personal needs and comfort of the patient are met. Collaboration and positive interaction with the interdisciplinary team are essential to provide quality patient care and achieve a high level of patient satisfaction. Additionally, the candidate must be willing to float to other work areas as needed, including the 2nd and 5th floors. The role requires the ability to be on feet for long periods and to meet the physical effort conditions outlined in the job description.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to complete a basic telemetry course.
• Solid clinical skills.
• Ability to perform basic patient care activities.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous nursing assistant experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

• STNA preferred but not required.
• Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.
