About The Position

Nursing Assistant II- Part Time Days Nursing Assistant II Baptist Health Princeton Hospital Part-Time | Day Shift At Baptist Health, our mission is to improve the health and quality of life for the individuals and communities we serve. We are looking for compassionate, dedicated healthcare professionals to join our team as a Nursing Assistant II and help provide exceptional patient care in a supportive hospital environment. As a Nursing Assistant II, you will play an essential role in the patient care team by supporting nurses and helping ensure patients receive safe, high-quality care during their hospital stay. Position Summary The Nursing Assistant II provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). This role supports patients with daily care activities, monitors vital signs, and helps maintain a safe and comfortable environment. You will work closely with nurses, physicians, and the healthcare team to support patient recovery and deliver compassionate care to patients and their families.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Assistant program
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – State of Florida
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic, or Medical Corpsman
  • Internationally licensed medical personnel
  • Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
  • One year of healthcare experience within the past five years in a relevant healthcare setting
  • Experience may not be required for graduates of approved training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and elimination
  • Monitor and record vital signs
  • Support patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Maintain a clean and safe patient care environment
  • Communicate patient concerns to nurses and healthcare staff
  • Participate in patient rounding and shift handoff reports
  • Respond to patient call lights and requests
  • Transport equipment, supplies, blood products, and medications (excluding controlled substances)
