Nursing Assistant II-Medical/ Surgical Unit

Summary: The NAII is responsible for administering direct patient care and performing other duties deemed necessary to insure optimal patient care. Responsibilities: Patients and families are served in providing direct patient care services. Performs duties and conducts interpersonal relationships in a manner to project a positive image of the department and hospital. Insures that contacts with other health care members is friendly helpful and courteous.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Completion of North Carolina (NC) Board of Nursing approved Nursing Assistant course.
- Certified by the N. C. State Board of Nursing as a NAII.
- Certified by the N. C. Department of Facility Services as a NAI.
- BCLS Certification.
- Good interpersonal, communication and observation skills are essential.
- Understanding of patient care needs according to developmental stages for various age groups.
