Nursing Assistant II Rehab
About The Position
At Mount Sinai Rehab Hospital, the Nursing Assistant II works under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. This role involves collecting and reporting patient information and data, assisting patients with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, diet, fluid intake, elimination, skin care, bathing and dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility, and ambulation. Additional responsibilities include patient transport, collection of specimens, and distribution of linens, supplies, ice, and beverages to patient rooms. The position is part-time, 16 hours day shift (7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.), and requires working every other weekend and holiday as scheduled. Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Of New England and Trinity Health, is a Level 1 Trauma Center and a 617-bed major teaching hospital.
Requirements
- Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma/GED
- A graduate of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program
- Five years CNA experience required
- Current Connecticut Nurse Aide Registry certification required
- BLS certification required
- Ability to pass drug screening and background check
