About The Position

The Nursing Assistant I position in the MedSurg department at Central Harnett Hospital involves performing basic patient care, observing and reporting any abnormal occurrences or changes in patient conditions, and maintaining supplies for the patient unit. The role requires flexibility in work tasks and schedules, as well as the ability to work variable shifts. The position also includes miscellaneous duties as assigned.

• Ability to accept supervision from a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexible in approach to work tasks and schedules.
• Able to grasp new skills and techniques.
• Basic knowledge of age-specific considerations for patients served.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to turn and lift patients.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift.
• Possess visual and auditory acuity for observing patients.
• Exposure to blood and body secretions.
