About The Position

The Nursing Assistant (CNA) Per Diem assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the directions and supervision of the registered nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Requirements

• Minimum 6-months to 1-year of nursing assistant or related experience, two (2) plus years preferred.
• Required to have experience in acute care setting.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Current BLS required. (BCLS certification preferred).
• Certified Nursing Assistant. (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living such as feeding, toileting and hygiene in the Med Surg Tele Unit.
• Provides basic nursing care to non-acutely and acutely ill patients.
• Assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment.
• Works under the directions and supervision of the registered nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
• Answers phones and call lights.
• Ensures unit is stocked with supplies.
• Assists patient transporter as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
