Nursing Assistant (CNA/NAR)

About the position

This nursing position is eligible for a $1,500 sign on bonus! Shift differentials of $1.00 evenings and $1.50 nights. We are seeking a Nursing Assistant/Registered (CNA/NAR) to support our adult residents in our Skilled Nursing Facility in Lake City, MN! This role provides hands on care and support services for our Care Center long term care unit residents and young adult-geriatric Transitional care unit patients.

Responsibilities

• Assists resident based on individual care plan with personal cares such as bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, and showers.
• Responds to call lights.
• Checks and records vitals AM/PM cares; including peri care and catheter care.
• May turn, lift or transfer residents with or without other persons/mechanical assistance.
• Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff in a clear and concise manner.
• Charts or documents in electronic medical record system.
• Seeks to resolve resident and family concerns.
• Receives and gives report to appropriate staff during various times in work shift.
• Maintains order and cleanliness in rooms and work areas.
• Reports malfunctioning equipment to maintenance department.
• Answers phones in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Active on MN Nursing Assistant registry by start date.
• If hired into the Ebenezer Nursing Assistant Training program, granted a 4-month grace period from hire date to be active on the MN Nursing Assistant registry.

• Communicate efficiently, with empathy and understanding for residents and coworkers.
• Experience working as a HHA, PCA, DSP, NA, Resident Assistant.
• Work experience in a customer service setting.
