About The Position

Aurora on France TCU is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Registered (CNA/NAR) to support our residents in our Skilled Nursing Facility (Transitional Care)! This role provides hands on care and patient support services for our adult short stay patients at our spacious care center TCU in Edina, MN. Casual/On-Call Schedule Day/Evening/Night shift Weekends as needed. Aurora on France is a new, innovative senior community attached to Fairview Southdale Hospital in the heart of Edina, MN. Located conveniently near Hwy. 62 and France Ave. and is on a bus line. Aurora has 136 units offering a full continuum of care including Transitional Care, Enhanced Care and Assisted Living/Memory Care.

Requirements

• Active as Nursing Assistant, Registered (NAR) on the MDH Nursing Assistant Registry by start date.
• Individual who is hired into Ebenezer's Nursing Assistant Course or Ebenezer's Pre-CNA job for Nursing Assistants; will be granted a 4-month post hire to become active on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.

• Experience working as a HHA, PCA, DSP, NA, Resident Assistant.
• Work experience in a customer service setting.

Responsibilities

• Assists resident based on individual care plan with personal cares such as bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, showers and responds to call lights.
• Check and record vitals AM/PM/NOC cares; including peri care and catheter care.
• May turn, lift or transfer residents with or without other persons/mechanical assistance.
• Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff in a clear and concise manner.
• Chart or document in electronic medical record system.
• Seeks to resolve resident and family concerns.
• Receives and gives report to appropriate staff during various times in work shift.
• Other duties such as; order and cleanliness in rooms and work areas, reports malfunctioning equipment to maintenance department, and answers phones in a timely manner.
