About The Position
The position is for a full-time role at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in the Telemetry department, specifically on the 4WCE Cardiac unit. The role involves assisting registered nurses (RNs) with the daily care of patients, which includes tasks such as bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and ambulation. The position requires the individual to measure and document vital signs and other patient data, perform purposeful rounding, and participate in the admission, transfer, and discharge processes under the supervision of an RN. The individual will also be responsible for ensuring patient comfort and safety, collecting specimens, maintaining equipment, and adhering to infection prevention policies. The role requires physical demands such as lifting and transferring patients, and the individual must demonstrate knowledge of age-specific care requirements.
