About The Position

Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference. Job Summary Provides direct care as assigned and works in the center. Responsible for the collection of data related to participant status; performance of basic nursing procedures; ongoing collection and documentation of participant data; assistance with treatments and procedures; and assistance with maintenance of patient care equipment. May require access to storage areas where medications are kept and carry out procedures that require the use of non-prescription medications. Provides participant care based upon individualized plan of care as directed by the Interdisciplinary Team, including the participants' physical, emotional needs, cultural, spiritual, psychosocial, and educational needs. Documents and reports patient status and condition. Maintains and ensures accurate maintenance of participants' medical records and treats records as confidential. Demonstrates effective communication skills in collaboration with other Interdisciplinary Team members to ensure optimal functioning of the center. Identifies opportunities for process improvement and participates in on-going process improvement activities. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education - High School Diploma or equivalent - completion of a Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Tech program
  • Experience - One (1) year of experience working with a frail elderly population
  • In Lieu Of In lieu of school verification of a nursing assistant training course, we may accept current or former South Carolina CN A certification as proof of completed state-required training at the time of hire.
  • Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses CNA - NURSING ASSISTANT - NCNA
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)
