Nursing Assistant - Cardiovascular Advanced Care
About The Position
Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Cardiovascular Advanced Care team! Position Summary: The Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, utilizing their skill and expertise to complement other health care providers. The Advanced Care Unit is a 20-bed unit that serves acute and/or chronically ill patients requiring close observation, management, and monitoring. We care for patients having acute MI’s, unstable arrhythmias, or require temporary pacemakers. Patients having respiratory distress-requiring bipap or hi flo. Medical patients such as GIB, DKA, or pulmonary hypertension. We also care for vascular surgical patients such as CEA’s, LE bypass, endovascular AAA. Nurse-patient ratios 3:1 or 2:1. Individualized orientation for each new hire, ECCO, and ACLS certification.
Requirements
- All candidates must be current on the State of Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry OR be an LPN student or a Jr. level nursing student, which means completion of first quarter clinicals with an accredited RN or LPN program.

- Currently validated CPR skills preferred
